Attendance

Kentucky has led the NCAA in average attendance per home game in 15 of the last 16 seasons, only finishing a close second to Syracuse in the 2004-05 season. Kentucky led the NCAA from the 1995-96 season until the 2003-04 season, and have led the last six seasons (2005-06 thru 2010-2011). Further, Kentucky has led the nation in average home attendance a total of 23 times (all since the 1976-77 season) This is a NCAA record. (Note: the NCAA awards their attendance title to the school that has the highest average home attendance, and not the highest total home attendance. This practice has always been in effect due to fairness, as each team has the ability to play a different amount of home games.)
